Man turns himself in after teen allegedly sexually assaulted at Melbourne shopping centre in broad daylight
A man has turned himself in after police released a CCTV image of a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a Melbourne shopping centre in broad daylight.
The 47-year-old man from Delahey went to a north suburbs police station yesterday afternoon after police released the image yesterday morning.
He was interviewed by police and released, but is expected to be charged on summons.

During the incident, a girl was shopping with her siblings at Melbourne Central shopping centre when a man allegedly bumped her on the shoulder and sexually assaulted her around 3.30pm on July 2.

It was the latest in a string of recent sexual assaults on young women across the city.
