Manhunt after woman sexually assaulted on inner-city Melbourne street

Police are searching for a man after a woman was sexually assaulted on a street in inner Melbourne

The 26-year-old woman was walking along Langridge Street in Collingwood about 10.30pm on March 20 when she was sexually assaulted by a man believed to be in his 30s.

He then fled the area and was last seen heading towards Rokeby Street.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to over the attack.

He is perceived as being of Indian in appearance, approximately 165cm tall, of slim build and with dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue check flannelette shirt, with a black t-shirt underneath and army pants with black runners.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is urged to contact police.
