Woman indecently assaulted in west Sydney

A woman leaving Guildford train station in Sydney's west has been indecently assaulted by a man who asked her for a cigarette.

Police say the incident happened on O'Neil Street in Guildford at about 8.30pm on Monday.

They say the 29-year-old woman handed the man a cigarette and as he used her lighter to light it he indecently assaulted her before running away.

The man is described as being of Indian/sub-continental appearance, aged in his early 30s with a short beard.
