A woman has become the second person to be charged over the murder of William Chaplin, who vanished in southern NSW almost a decade ago.

Mr Chaplin was 25 when he was last seen in Gerogery, north of the border town of Albury, in May 2010.

Investigators arrested the 32-year-old woman at Albury Police Station on Wednesday and charged her with being an accessory, and she was refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court on Thursday.
