Woman charged over attempted abduction

A woman has been charged after she allegedly assaulted and tried to abduct a man in Sydney last month.

On Wednesday June 22, a 25-year-old man was found outside an apartment block in Waterloo with stab wounds and taken to hospital where he underwent surgery.

Following an investigation, police arrested a 24-year-old woman in Redfern on Wednesday afternoon, charging her with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempted abduction.

She will appear in Hornsby Local Court on Thursday.

A 49-year-old man was also charged in relation to the alleged abduction last week.
