A 26-year-old woman will appear in court charged with a string of driving offences after she crashed her car while fleeing police in Sydney's southwest.

Police were called to a domestic incident in Panania in the early hours of Monday and spoke to the woman before she got into a car and drove away.

The woman, who was allegedly unlicensed, sped away when officers then tried to pull her over, prompting a police pursuit that ended when she crashed into a barrier while trying to turn onto the M5 at Revesby.

She wasn't injured but was taken to hospital for observation.

She is now facing multiple charges including driving dangerously, running a red light, possessing a prohibited drug as well as driving on an expired licence and will face court on October 25.
