Two arrested after body found in large metal cabinet in New South Wales

Two men have been arrested after a man's body was found in a large metal cabinet in a creek on the New South Wales Mid-North Coast earlier this month.

The 22-year-old man's body was found on May 12 at Warrell Creek in Macksville after he was reported missing.

The discovery occurred as police were investigating the alleged supply of drugs in the Caringbah area, in southern Sydney.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, with an application made for his extradition to NSW. NSW Police

Police say a 22-year-old man was arrested at a Peakhurst property in southern Sydney last week and was charged with murder.

He has been was refused bail and will re-appear at Downing Centre Local Court on August 17.

The other man, a 33-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after police travelled to Brisbane and executed a number of search warrants.

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and police have made an application for his extradition to NSW.

Investigations continue.
