Three arrested at NSW caravan park

A police officer had his nose and hand broken after a man challenged officers at a NSW caravan park following two earlier arrests.

A search of a car on Tuesday night at a caravan park in Nambucca Heads led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man over allegedly dealing and possessing drugs.

When officers returned to the park a 29-year-old man fled from police officers but was arrested later with a large knife.

During his arrest a 27-year-old man allegedly challenged and fought police, attempting to ram a detectives head into a deck before he was also arrested and searched by police.

Police found several different illegal drugs, including a commercial amount of methylamphetamine, and housebreaking equipment in the 27-year-old's backpack.

The 29-year-old and 27-year-old will face Coffs Harbour Local Court on Wednesday while the 26-year-old is due to appear at Macksville Local Court in November.
