Thieves targeting Audi cars in Sydney

Thieves have been targeting new model Audi cars to steal the spare key from the glove box in a spate of thefts across Sydney.

Police said there have been a number thefts from Audi vehicles in Sydney's north shore and northern beaches this month and they believe thieves are searching for the spare key.

Audi Australia said it is providing advice to its customers.

"It is important that owners follow standard security procedures at all times. Importantly, keys should never be left in a locked vehicle, including a valet or service key," Audi Australia said.
