Thieves carjack man, lead cops on pursuit

A 22-year-old man has been assaulted in a carjacking at Blacktown in Sydney's west.

At approximately 9:15pm on Wednesday night the man was parking his car underground when three men approached, took his wallet, phone and car, a blue Honda Accord.

The men reportedly were then involved in several pursuits in the area, which police terminated in the interests of public safety.

The victim of the carjacking received medical treatment for a head injury.
