Teens invade home with machete, fake gun

Two young men armed with a machete and an imitation gun have forced their way into a southwestern Sydney home and demanded money.

Police say the pair, aged 17 and 18 invaded the Lurnea home at 6pm on Monday night.

They allegedly threatened a man and woman inside the home with the machete and fake pistol, demanding cash.

A fight broke out before police arrived to arrest the pair. No one was hurt.

The teens have been charged with armed robbery, aggravated entering, damaging property and related offences. They will appear in court on Tuesday.
