Teen charged over Sydney glassing

A teenager has been charged after allegedly glassing a man and damaging a home in Sydney's west.

Police say the 17-year-old threw a glass bottle through the front window of a home in Blacktown on Saturday night, before glassing a man who came outside to investigate.

The 54-year old resident was taken to Westmead Hospital with a cut above his eye and several dislodged teeth.

The 17-year-old has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and malicious damage and will front children's court on October 22.
