Sydney site shut down after tradie died

A construction site in western Sydney has been shut down after a worker died when he fell five floors down a ventilation shaft.
Emergency services attended the Jordan Springs site after midday on Wednesday but the 38-year-old man was found dead at the scene.
It is believed he tripped and fell down the 30 metre shaft, suffering fatal injuries.

SafeWork NSW on Thursday said it had issued notices on the site to stop work as it investigates what went wrong.
