Sydney man in court over shot fired at car

A man has been charged after a shot was allegedly fired at a group of people in Sydney.

Police were involved in a short pursuit with a silver Volkswagen along Barton Road, Artarmon, just before 12.30am on Thursday, before ending it over safety concerns. They learned a shot had been fired just before the pursuit and a round was found in a car.

About 6pm, a 26-year-old from Artarmon was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and will face Hornsby Local Court on Friday.
