A man found dead after swimming in a public pool on the Central Coast has brought the drowning toll in NSW to seven in three days.

Emergency services were called to the baths on Ocean Parade, The Entrance, after a man was found unresponsive in the water on Tuesday.

He died at the scene but has not yet been formally identified.

It is believed the man may have suffered a heart attack while swimming, Network Ten reported.

The swimming death comes after a tragic three days in NSW in which six people drowned, including four on Boxing Day alone, as well as a toddler who died after falling into a backyard swimming pool a week ago.
