Snakes and cannabis seized in Blue Mts

A man will face court on drug charges after 91 cannabis plants and four snakes were seized at a property in the Blue Mountains, police say.

Officers executed a search warrant at the Warragamba address around midday on Tuesday, allegedly finding a hydroponics set-up, the 91 plants, dried and pre-packaged cannabis, two albino carpet pythons and two woma pythons.

The snakes were seized by the National Parks and Wildlife Service.

A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with the commercial cultivation, supply and possession of cannabis and was refused bail to appear at Penrith local Court on Wednesday.
