Shots fired into two Sydney homes

Shots have been fired at two Sydney homes overnight, in incidents police fear are linked.

Police say two shots were fired into the rear of a house on O'Connell Street in Monterrey, in Sydney's south, shortly before 10pm on Monday night in what police believe was a targeted attack.

Just a few hours later, police responded to reports of shots fired at a home in Roslyn Street, Ashbury, in Sydney's southwest.

No one was injured in either attack.

Police said they are trying to find out if the Ashbury shooting is linked to the earlier Monterrey shooting.
