Severe storm warning for areas in NSW

Severe thunderstorms in NSW are likely to produce damaging wind and heavy rain that may lead to flash flooding.
People in parts of the Hunter, Central Tablelands, North West Slopes and Plains, and Central West Slopes and Plains have been issued the warning.
Locations that could be affected include Mudgee, Dubbo, Coonabarabran, Wellington and Coonamble.

The Bureau of Meteorology said it recorded 42mm of rain in just an hour on Wednesday evening in Ulan Water, north of Mudgee.
The State Emergency Service is advising people to keep clear of floodwater, unplug computers and appliances, avoid using phones during the storm and to stay indoors.
