NSW woman spends hours trapped in wreck

A NSW woman has spent almost 12 hours trapped in her crashed car after slamming into an embankment north east of Bathurst.
The 43-year-old called triple zero just before midnight on Monday saying she was trapped, but police grew concerned when her phone was uncontactable after she raised the alarm.
A search involving local police, paramedics and SES officers began on Monday morning.

About 11am, police said the woman's car was found about 60km north east of Bathurst.
Crews were working to free her from the wreckage but her injuries were unknown.
