Rockfisherman dies after group NSW rescue

A rockfisherman has died after being swept into the sea with several others on the NSW South Coast.

Emergency Services were called to Bay St, Tathra after five fishermen were washed off rocks about 1pm on Saturday.

Police say four men were rescued and treated for minor injuries. One man, believed to be in his 50s, was pulled from the water but died at the scene.
