UPDATE: Prisoner on the run from psychiatric facility arrested in NSW front yard

Police have arrested a prisoner that was on the run from a psychiatric facility in Orange.

Robert Cooper, 42, left the Bloomfield Psychiatric Facility around 10am last Friday on day release but never returned.

Police believed that he could be dangerous and armed and warned the public not to approach him as they began the search for him.

About 11.20pm last night Mr Cooper was arrested by police in the front yard of a home in Narromine and taken into custody without incident.
