More than 800 cannabis plants have been seized by police in northwest NSW while dismantling an alleged organised-crime syndicate.

Police visited a property in Brewarrina on Saturday and saw a 59-year-old man allegedly watering a large amount of cannabis plants.

They searched the property, seizing more than 800 plants and inside the homestead found 15 more plants, a long-arm rifle and a revolver.

They are in custody and will appear in Bourke Local Court on March 5.

Police arrested three other men across NSW, including a 39-year-old and 31-year-old alleged to be the heads of the organised-crime syndicate.
