Pedestrian hit on southwest Sydney road

A 62-year-old woman has a broken arm, leg and pelvis after being hit by a car while walking across a road in Sydney's southwest.
Police say the woman was crossing a street in Campsie on Tuesday evening when she was struck.
She was rushed to hospital following the incident and is in a stable condition.

The 24-year-old male driver was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing is being questioned by police.
His car has been seized for mechanical examination.
