NSW man missing after jumping off jetty

It's believed a man is missing on the NSW north coast after jumping into the water in Coffs Harbour.

The man, aged between 40 and 50, did not surface after he was seen jumping from a jetty on Jordan Esplanade on Sunday morning.

Police say emergency services have been unable to find him and the search was suspended late on Sunday evening because of poor visibility.

It will resume on Monday morning.
