A man has been charged with two fraud offences involving the alleged fraud of almost $1.7 million, following an investigation into a bikie gang.

Police identified fraud offences during a Gangs Squad's Strike Force Raptor investigation into the activities of the Burwood Chapter of the Rebels OMCG, which began in November 2015.

On Monday morning a 29-year-old man handed himself into Parramatta Police Station and was arrested for his alleged role in defrauding a bank of more than $1.6 million, by applying and obtaining loans using falsified documents.

The Rebels OMCG member allegedly was loaned $688,000 using forged documents; in 2016, and then helped another Rebels member get a $960,000 loan by also using forged documents.
