A garbage truck driver accused of causing the death of a pedestrian remains on bail after his case was mentioned in a Sydney court.

Barry John Reidy, 54, is charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, driving in a dangerous manner, negligent driving occasioning death and not keeping left of a dividing line.

The driver is accused of hitting and killing a 61-year-old pedestrian as she crossed the road at Doonside on March 31.

The case came before Blacktown Local Court on Tuesday, when it was adjourned to June 5 at Penrith Local Court and his bail was continued.
