NSW cop pleads guilty to urinating, drugs

A police officer has pleaded guilty to possessing MDMA and urinating at a Sydney train station.

Constable Errol Townsend was off duty when he was arrested at Potts Point in Sydney's east in the early hours of September 27.

The 31-year-old was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and behaving in an offensive manner.

He did not appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday but two pleas of guilty were entered on his behalf.

Court papers state that the officer was in possession of .31 grams of MDMA at Potts Point and had urinated at Kings Cross train station.

He is due to be sentenced in November.
