NSW cop on assault charges in Hobart
AAP
An off-duty Sydney policeman is facing drink driving and assault charges in Tasmania, with police also launching an internal investigation into the matter.
The Probationary Constable, who is attached to Sydney's Central Metropolitan Region, was driving a car and failed to stop for police in the Hobart suburb of Battery Point.
After he was arrested, he was made to do a roadside breath test where he returned an alleged reading of .118.
