NSW cop charged with drink driving

A NSW senior constable has been charged with drink driving in the state's south.

The officer, who is attached to a specialist command in the state's western region, was pulled over for a random breath test at Cootamundra on Sunday night and allegedly tested positive.

Later at a police station, the man recorded a blood-alcohol level of .083 and was ordered to attend Cootamundra Local Court in early July on a drink-driving charge.

His licence was also suspended, NSW Police said on Wednesday.
