NSW boy fights for life after near-drowning in backyard pool

A two-year-old boy is fighting for life after being pulled from a backyard pool unconscious southwest of Sydney last night.

Emergency services were called to a home on Smart Street in Camden South at about 9pm last night.

Paramedics treated the boy at the scene before he was airlifted to Royal Children's Hospital in Westmead in a critical condition.
