NSW boatshed destroyed by fire
AAP
A boatshed on Sydney's Parramatta river has been destroyed by fire, sending a wide plume of smoke across the city's north west.
Ten fire crews attended the scene at Bedlam Bay near Gladesville on Thursday morning, after several triple-zero calls over concerns of large amounts of visible smoke.
Firefighters worked with Sydney Ports Authorities to extinguish the blaze and contain any run off from entering the bay.

They also managed to cool two 20-kilogram LPG gas cylinders within the boat shed and prevent further damage from a broken power line.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway with no reports of injury.
