A man charged with murder after a 37-year-old man was stabbed in the thigh during a fight in a Wagga Wagga park is to remain behind bars.

Tristan James Lee, 28, did not apply for bail and it was formally refused when his case was mentioned in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.

NSW Police has previously said the 37-year-old victim was found collapsed and bleeding in the driveway of a home in Wagga Wagga early on Tuesday morning.

They allege the two men had earlier had a fight in a nearby park.

Paramedics performed the CPR on the victim, believed to be from neighbouring Junee, but he died at the scene.

Lee is next scheduled to appear in court via video link on June 28.
