Teen charged over alleged postcode war stabbing in Sydney's west

The fatal stabbing of a teenager at a Sydney bus interchange last year was linked to "postcode wars", police will allege after charging a second teenager over the death.

Two men, both aged 19, were found with stab wounds at the interchange on North Parade in Mount Druitt just after 10pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

One man, Zac McRae, had been stabbed in his chest and could not be revived.

The other man had been stabbed in the arm and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police have revealed today they believe the attackers are linked to the 'Six Seven' group, which is connected to the Doonside area in Sydney's west.

"We believe that they were actively involved in the offence with intent to commit that offence," Detective Superintendent Joseph Doueihi said.

Police allege the attackers believed the victims were connected to a group known as 'Ready for Anything'.

There is no current evidence to suggest the victims are affiliated with any particular group.

Footage released by police today show three offenders from a white Subaru.

The trio, believed to be aged in their 20s, are seen walking along a street in Mount Druitt.

They wear black hoodies and track pants.

Two wear black shoes, and one wears white shoes.

Following inquiries, a 19-year-old woman was arrested in December and charged with murder in connection with the stabbing.

She remains before the courts.

Police will allege that she was responsible for driving the white Subaru captured on the CCTV footage.

"We will allege that she drove the offenders to the location, waited for them to commit the offence and then drove them away," Doueihi said.

"We will allege that she was aware that they were armed with machetes and was aware that they committed the offence."

More recently, at about 10.20am on January 7, police arrested a 19-year-old man in Silverwater.

He was charged with multiple offences, including murder and wounding with intent to murder.

"We will allege that he was the principal offender and fatally stabbed the victim and seriously wounded the second victim," Doueihi said.

He was refused bail and appeared in Burwood Local Court today.

"In regard to the motivations of this crime, we believe it has links to the postcode wars in greater western Sydney."

Police have said the people in custody have "certainly not" been cooperative.
