Man stabbed in Sydney highway attack

A man has been stabbed when a gang of men tried to force him out of his car in western Sydney.

Police say the incident happened after the man pulled up behind a Toyota Corolla at an intersection on the Hume Highway at Yagoona about 2.30am on Thursday.

During the altercation, the driver was stabbed twice in the leg and is now in a stable condition in hospital. The group drove off.
