Male driver killed in head-on crash at North Bondi

A male driver has been killed in a head-on crash in Bondi in Sydney's east.

Emergency services were called to Hardy Street in North Bondi at around 5.15pm yesterday afternoon after reports of a crash.

The arrived to find a Mitsubishi Mirage had crashed head-on with a Mitsubishi Pajero.

The driver of the Mirage, a 51-year-old man from nearby Dover Heights, died at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the Pajero, 53 and 16 respectively, were uninjured.

The Pajero driver, from North Bondi, was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command are investigating the crash.
