Man killed in fiery NSW crash

A man has died after his car crashed into a tree and burst into flames on the NSW mid north coast.

The car was found about 5am on Thursday near Coutts Crossing by a passerby who called police.

A man, believed to be in his early twenties, was found deceased in the vehicle.

The victim hasn't been identified and police believe the man crashed into a tree before his car caught fire.

The fatality brings the road toll to 230 this year, 25 more than this time last year.
