Man escapes suspicious NSW house fire

A man has managed to escape with his life after a suspicious fire engulfed most of his Newcastle home.

Emergency services were called to the home early on Friday morning to find the occupant, 26, outside the house with burns to his legs.

The blaze caused damage to most of the house and is being treated as suspicious.
