Two drivers killed in NSW road crashes

A 64-year-old man has died after his car crashed into a tree north of Newcastle.

Police say the man was driving on Richardson Road, Campvale at about 3pm Friday when he hit a tree, which fell across the road.

He died at the scene.

Another driver died in Sydney's west when his vehicle swerved off the road and hit a pole.

The 60-year-old man was driving along Marion Street, Bankstown on Friday morning when his car left the road.

He was taken to Bankstown Hospital where he later died.
