Man dies in fiery crash with 4WD in Qld

A man is dead after his car was involved in a fiery crash with a four-wheel drive in Queensland.

A sedan which stopped to turn onto a side street near Miriam Vale was giving way to a Kia Cerato travelling in the opposite direction about 11.40am on Monday, police say.

A Nissan Patrol, following the sedan, attempted to overtake and clipped the Kia and sedan, killing the Kia's male driver.

One of the vehicles caught fire, but other motorists quickly extinguished it.

The occupants of the other vehicles were taken to Gladstone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
