Man dies after altercation in NSW

A man has died after he was involved in an altercation with another man in the NSW central tablelands.

The 64-year-old man was found unconscious by officers at a unit block in Kelso about 5pm on Monday and was taken to Bathurst Hospital where he later died, police said in a statement.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
