Man charged with murder in Sydney's west

A man has been charged with murder after an assault in Sydney's west.

The 36-year-old was arrested over the violent assault of an older man at a home in Pemulwuy on Tuesday night.

Paramedics treated the 62-year-old man at the home and he was taken to Westmead Hospital but later died.

The younger man will face Parramatta Bail Court on Thursday.
