Man charged over NSW shopping mall assault

A man will face court after allegedly assaulting a security guard with a pair of scissors at a Sydney shopping centre.
Police say the guard, 36, suffered a finger wound while restraining the 23-year-old at Broadway Shopping Centre, allegedly after the man was caught shoplifting.
He has been charged with a string of offences and is due to face Newtown Local Court on Wednesday.
