Man charged over NSW bridge crash

A P-plate driver has been charged after a crash that sent a woman's car plummeting over a bridge on NSW's Central Coast.
The woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, suffered serious injuries and was trapped for about 30 minutes near Stockton Creek Bridge at Morisset on Monday morning.
Police allege a 20-year-old P-plate driver hit the woman's car, sending it over the bridge and into a creek.

The woman was airlifted to hospital with serious head, chest, leg and arm injuries.
The other driver escaped uninjured and was later charged with various driving offences.
His licence was suspended and he was given conditional bail to appear in Wyong Local Court on December 1.
