Man charged over fatal NSW crash

A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a horrific crash near Tamworth which killed one of his elderly passengers.

The 64-year-old and his four passengers were trapped for several hours after the car rolled during the accident on the New England Highway last week.

A 73-year-old man who was travelling in the front passenger seat died at the scene.

Police say the driver was charged with three offences including negligent driving occasioning death on Thursday and he's due to face Tamworth Local Court on August 22.
