Man charged over Albury stabbing death

A man has been charged with murdering another man who was fatally stabbed in the chest near the NSW-Victoria border.

The 35-year-old victim was found with a stab wound to the chest on Sunday night at a home in Webb Street, Lavington, a suburb of Albury.

He was pronounced dead after arriving at Albury Hospital.

A second man, who police say was with the deceased when they arrived at the scene, has now been charged with murder.

The 43-year-old accused was refused bail and is due to face Albury Local Court on Tuesday.
