Man arrested over fatal Sydney hit-and-run

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run that claimed the life of an elderly man in Sydney's southwest more than a week ago.

Zac Andreou, 73, was allegedly fatally struck by a white van, which failed to stop, as he stood outside his Condell Park house on December 28.

A 49-year-old man was arrested at a Greenacre home on Thursday and is being questioned at Bankstown Police Station, while a van has been seized for forensic investigation.
