Jerry Seinfeld to tour Down Under

For the first time in nearly 20 years, US comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld will tour Australia with his stand-up show next year.

The master of observational humour announced on Thursday he is set to crack-up five Australian cities, kicking off in Perth next August.

Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney fans will also all have the chance to dust off their best sneakers and '90s puffy shirts to enjoy the humour of the man at the heart of one of the most successful TV shows of all time, Seinfeld.

"Australia may be far in miles but I feel very close to the people because of our mutual comedy connection," Seinfeld said in a statement.

"I couldn't be more excited about seeing everyone there again."
