“This is not the ending we had hoped for, and saying goodbye to a place that has meant so much to us is incredibly said,” the business said in a statement.

“From the moment we opened, Iberica was about bringing people together over beautiful food, wine and the warmth of Spanish hospitality.

“We are so grateful to every person who walked through our doors, celebrated with us, shared a meal with us and supported us along the way.”

Owner Joaquin Saez opened the tapas wine bar with a focus on the cuisine of the Balearic Islands, which sit off the east coast of Spain.

Saez was born in Chile but moved to Europe as a teenager and spent a long period on the islands.

“To our incredible team, past and present, thank you for everything you gave to Iberica,” the business said.

“And to our customers, friends and community, thank you for being part of our story.

“We are incredibly proud of what we created and of all the memories made within these walls.”
