Hundreds 'caught with drugs' at Splendour

More than 300 music fans were caught with illegal drugs at the Splendour in the Grass festival.

Among those arrested was a 20-year-old man who was allegedly caught with MDMA after being stopped by security guards as he tried to enter the weekend's Byron Bay music festival without a ticket.

While police charged four others with supplying drugs, issued 80 cannabis cautions and more than 200 field court attendance notices they said festival-goers were mostly well behaved.
