Housemate 'hid camera in couple's bedroom'

A 24-year-old man has been charged after allegedly hiding a spy camera in the bedroom of a couple he shared an apartment with in Sydney's inner west.

The man's female housemate found the spy camera on Tuesday in the Burwood bedroom she shared with her partner.

The man was then arrested and charged with filming a person "in a private act" without consent and recording a conversation he wasn't a party to.

The accused was granted bail to appear at Burwood Local Court in early March.
